The Government of Sindh, Finance Department, has reiterated an important rule regarding the rectification of Date of Birth (DOB) in the service records of government employees. According to Sindh Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion & Transfer) Rules, 1974 , specifically Rule 12-A , the Date of Birth recorded at the time of joining government service is final and  cannot be altered later under any circumstances .
