According to the Office Memorandum dated 21 July 2026 , the Federal Government has approved the introduction of Basic Pay Scales (BPS)-2026 , effective from 1 July 2026 . The revised package includes a new Basic Pay Scale structure , 7% Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2026 , updated salary fixation rules, and revised pay charts from BPS-1 to BPS-22 . Government of Sindh Clarifies Final Policy on Date of Birth Correction Description The Government of Sindh has clarified that the Date of Birth recorded at the time of joining government service is final and cannot be changed later under Rule 12-A of the Sindh Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion & Transfer) Rules, 1974. The Government of Sindh, Finance Department, has reiterated an important rule regarding the rectification of Date of Birth (DOB) in the service records of government employees. According to Sindh Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion & Transfer) Rules, 1974 , specifically Rule 12-A , the Date of Birth recorded at the time of joining government service is final and  cannot be altered later under any circumstances .
