The Sindh Government Constitutes Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for BPS-16, BPS-17 & BPS-18

The Government of Sindh, School Education & Literacy Department (SE&LD) has issued an official Notification dated 05 August 2026 regarding the constitution of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for considering promotions of officers and officials serving in BPS-16, BPS-17, and BPS-18.

The committee has been constituted under Rule 5(2) & (3) of the Sindh Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1974, in consultation with the Regulation Wing of Services, General Administration & Coordination Department (SGA&CD), Government of Sindh.

This notification supersedes all previous notifications issued on the subject.

Purpose of the DPC

The newly constituted Departmental Promotion Committee will examine and recommend promotion cases of eligible officers and officials of the School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh in:

  • BPS-16

  • BPS-17

  • BPS-18

The committee will review promotion cases strictly in accordance with the applicable service rules and government policy.

  The government of Sindh issued a notification of an increase in the salary of government employees . According to the notification issued by the Finance Department, the salaries of all the employees from grade 1 to 16 in the subordinate institutions of the Sindh government have been increased by 35 percent and the wages of all employees above grade 17 have been increased by 30 percent as ad-hoc allowance. which will be given on the existing basic pay.
