Sindh Government Revised Pay Scales 2026 Notification – New Salary, 7% Adhoc Relief Allowance & Revised BPS Chart (Effective 1 July 2026)
The Government of Sindh, Finance Department, has officially issued the Office Memorandum No. FD(SR-I)08(01)/2026-27, dated 22 July 2026, announcing the Revised Basic Pay Scales-2026, Adhoc Relief Allowance-2026, and other important salary-related decisions for civil servants across Sindh.
The revised pay package will be effective from 1st July 2026 and applies to all eligible civil employees of the Government of Sindh.
Key Highlights of Sindh Revised Pay Scales 2026
✅ Revised Basic Pay Scales (BPS-2026) effective from 1 July 2026

✅ Existing employees' pay to be fixed on a point-to-point basis
✅ Annual Increment will continue under existing rules
✅ Special Pays and percentage-based allowances remain frozen at existing admissible levels where applicable
Revised Basic Pay Scales 2026
The Finance Department has merged previous Adhoc Relief Allowances into the revised Basic Pay Scales.
The new Basic Pay Scales-2026 replace the Basic Pay Scales-2022 from 1 July 2026.
Employees will receive revised salaries according to the new pay chart issued by the Government.
7% Adhoc Relief Allowance-2026
The Government has sanctioned:
Adhoc Relief Allowance-2026 = 7% of the running Basic Pay of BPS-2026
The allowance will:
Be effective from 1 July 2026
Be admissible to civil employees of the Government of Sindh
Apply to contract employees appointed against civil posts under standard terms
Be subject to Income Tax
Be admissible during earned leave and LPR
Not count towards Pension or Gratuity calculations
Not be admissible during deputation abroad
Personal Allowance 2026
To bridge the gap between salaries and the minimum wage, the Finance Department has introduced a Personal Allowance-2026 for:
BPS-01: Up to Rs.401 per month
BPS-02: Up to Rs.80 per month
This allowance is available only where the employee's monthly gross salary remains below Rs.43,000.
Pay Fixation of Existing Employees
Existing Government employees serving on 30 June 2026 will have their salaries fixed:
On a point-to-point basis
At the corresponding stage of the new Basic Pay Scale-2026
Personal Pay, where admissible, shall continue according to the revised scales.
Promotion Cases
Employees promoted before implementation of the new scales will have their pay protected so that they do not receive less than what would have been admissible after implementation of the revised pay scales.
Annual Increment
Annual increments will continue under existing Government rules and will remain admissible on 1st December each year.
Special Pays & Allowances
All percentage-based Special Pays and Allowances (including House Rent Allowance where applicable under the relevant rules) shall continue according to the existing admissible levels specified by the Finance Department.
Option for Employees
Employees may exercise an option within 30 days to continue under the previous Basic Pay Scales-2022 or adopt the revised Basic Pay Scales-2026.
Failure to exercise the option within the prescribed period shall be deemed acceptance of the Basic Pay Scales-2026.
